The Harlequins had a spectacular show with Guys and Dolls. After the tough season, they were ready for a break, they received some exciting news as they were invited to a special ceremony at Playhouse square.
A Saint Ignatius alumnus, Michael Rego ’86, is part of the production company The Araca Group, which is being honored at the Playhouse Square Chairman’s Dinner this year. The group produced shows such as The Outsiders, Clue, and Urinetown. A group of Ignatius students and other area high school girls have been invited to perform “Luck Be a Lady” at the event. As a thank you, Playhouse square has also given them free tickets to see The Outsiders at Keybank.
The Harlequins also had a successful time at the Playhouse Square Dazzle awards. They were nominated for seven awards, including Jackson Kenny ‘26 and Tony Fritzgerald ‘26 for Best Actor, Jaxon Floyd ‘29 and Blake Jeffrey-White ‘28 for Best Supporting Actor, as well as Best Technical Execution, Best Ensemble, and Best Choreography. Senior Jackson Kenny says, “I am proud of our group this year on our accomplishments. It was a great senior year, and I’m happy to have spent it with such a phenomenal group”
